Using Blackboard:
Discussion Board
A discussion board provides a place for the students and the instructor to discuss issues and exchange ideas while not all being on-line at the same time — this is called asynchronous communication.
Your instructor has created a number of forums in the discussion board. Each forum will be used for a discussion on a specific topic or for a specific purpose. Discussions consist of threads of messages posted within the discussion forum.
A thread is a series of messages that have been posted as replies to one another — including the initial message and the responses to it.
