Using Blackboard: Digital Dropbox
The Digital Dropbox can be used by instructors and students to exchange files. You can upload a document (such as a Word or PowerPoint document) to the Digital Dropbox so that it can be accessed by both you and your instructor. The instructor can then download the file, add comments to it, and send it back to the student's Digital Dropbox. Your instructor will indicate if you should submit work using the Digital Dropbox.
Digital Dropbox Tips
- Follow the file naming and file type instructions provided by your instructor.
- If you are using a word processor, you will usually be asked to save your assignments in .rtf format. As you save your file in your word processor, you can change to this file format by choosing “Save As” to save your document and changing the “Save File as Type” to Rich Text Format (.rtf).
The tutorial below describes how to use the Digital Dropbox.
