Getting Started with Distance Learning
This Distance Learning Orientation is intended to get you started on the right track for success. There are three sections in this orientation: Learning Online, Using Blackboard, and Computer Skills. The Distance Learning Orientation may be completed in its entirety or you may select the sections that best meet your unique needs. Your instructor may direct you to complete specific sections of this orientation.
- Learning Online
Taking an online course is different than taking a "regular" course in a classroom. Find out more about what learning online is like and how to be successful in the Learning Online Orientation.
- Using Blackboard
Most distance learning courses at Harper College are offered using Blackboard, a course management system. Many traditional classroom courses also use Blackboard. Find out how to use Blackboard in the Using Blackboard Orientation.
- Computer Skills
